I went to a link on the Csounds.com page (documentation) which led me to the “One Laptop Per Child” site. Apparently Csound (since it is open source) is one of the available assets in that project. The best part about this is that they have started some elementary documentation in wiki form.

Besides, if you are not yet familiar with the OLPC project (www.laptop.org) this is a good place to start.

    This is sort of a catch-all site for me to write about anything that comes time mind involving my use of computers to write music. Since around 2007 I've gotten back into algorithmic composition and the use of open source tools. In particular, you'll see posts about Csound and ChucK. In 2008, the One Laptop Per Child group (www.laptop.org) made available many gigbytes of samples and loops, completely copyright-free, for people to use in their work. I recommend you check that out as well (there's a page in this site for it). Pages vs. Posts on this blog: Pages are more along the lines of articles whereas the Blog posts are just random observations. There's no sharp distinction between the two however. Maybe someday, I'll organize it better. But probably not. (Incidentally I really like this "Digg 3 Column" theme...)
